Biographical Information
Alexandra [Sandra] Haeseker ~ [b.1945] Canadian ASA, CSPWC, RCA
born in Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1955. Haeseker received BFA [1966] from University of Calgary and diploma from Alberta College of Art [1968].She has also received Master of Arts degree in 1972 from the University of Calgary. Haeseker instructed painting, drawing and printmaking at ACAD from 1973-2003 and is now a Lecturer Emeritus at AUArts. Recent international exhibitions include The Elisabeth Anna-Palais in Germany [2015]; The Lamego Art Museum in Portugal [2016]; the Ardel Museum in Thailand [2017]; The Taoxichuan Art Museum in China [2018]; and Edinburgh Printmakers in Scotland [2020]; for biographical information and examples of work see gallery website at www.glenhyrst.ca/haeseker-alexandra
